Purpose and scope
Hermes EA is a personal, self-hosted executive-assistant system operated by Bo Zhu for one authorized user. It is not offered as a public service. This policy explains how the system handles Google user data when the operator connects a dedicated Google Account.
Google data the app accesses
- Gmail: email messages, metadata, and settings needed to read, summarize, organize, draft, and send email at the operator's direction.
- Google Calendar: the subscribed-calendar list and calendar events needed to view, create, update, and delete events at the operator's direction.
How Google data is used
Google data is used only to provide the executive-assistant functions requested by the operator, such as summarizing correspondence, preparing replies, tracking commitments, and managing events. It is not used for advertising, profiling, sale, or any unrelated purpose.
Processing and disclosure
At the operator's direction, relevant content may be transmitted to OpenAI's model services to generate assistant responses. OVHcloud provides the private server infrastructure on which Hermes EA runs. Google user data is not sold or shared with other third parties except as necessary to operate these requested functions, comply with law, or protect the security of the system.
Storage, retention, and security
OAuth credentials and assistant workspace data are stored on a user-controlled server. Credentials use owner-only filesystem permissions, and administrative access is restricted through a private network. Data is retained only while useful to the operator or while present in configured backups, and may be deleted by the operator.
Your controls
The connected account owner can revoke Hermes EA's access at any time from the Google Account connections page. The operator can also remove locally stored tokens, workspace records, and related backups according to the configured retention schedule.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Hermes EA's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
